The web site for the MAY YOU LIVE IN INTERESTING TIMES is now live. It's Cardiff's inaugural Festival of Creative Technology - a three-day program of events being held across the capital in late October.

The festival includes a two-day conference, new commissions, residencies, screenings, and artists¹ projects in public sites across the city, including a new project by Grennan and Sperandio. Christopher Sperandio will give a keynote lecture on Saturday, October 29

12/05: OUT OF THE DARK



The Norfolk town of Thetford, UK, is the setting for five stories that make up the new Grennan and Sperandio comic book Out of the Dark, commissioned by English Heritage.

Bringing together 2,000 years of history through the personal true-life commentary of Thetford folks (one story is in the Anglo-Saxon English of 1,000 years ago), readers can reflect on the strange connection between four Thetford girls and the women singer-songwriters of the 12th century; see how an 18th century landlady and a present-day rock guitarist square up in their bedrooms; and thrill to Sweyn Forkbeard's praise of Thetford's fighting men at the site of Norfolk's only rocket launch.

Out of the Dark makes the sparky suggestion that what they say is true: everything changes, everything remains the same. Go figure...
